Till then...muaks muaks all.....

Yes.... Its one of the night that im looking forward for quite some time...same goes to Ern n Vui Nee... I cant seems to get this clubbing and drinking habit out of my life...haha...thou we r not young anymore, i jus find this is part of my interest.... a good place to dance and drink, to forget what stress at work is all about........

We ended up bringing Nee at Clarke Quay and not St James Power House on Friday night..... Guess it is always ideal to bring visitors to Clarke Quay cos this place is pretty unique with all the pubs and clubs gathered at one area......Nee loves the concept pretty much.....

We walked around, snapped some pictures before heading over to Rebel for some drink.... Rebel is a RnB concept which to me, its just so so only..... The people who hang out over there are mostly youngsters and the music isn’t that great as well..... I managed to meet up with Seline (my secondary sch mates) and her ex colleagues...... We all danced till its 4am and the place was pretty crowded with lotsa “hum sup” people as well -_______-‘’

Trip to Bintan, Indonesia….yes, a trip which bonds us together.... This trip is specially made to celebrate Dalson’s bday , Vui Nee’s visit to Singapore and……..Well, it has been years since I last see Vui Nee and it was really a good time for us to rekindle our relationship….. This trip is one of best trip after I started working in Singapore…. It has been so long since we have a holiday with a big group……

Special thanks to James and Ern for making this trip possible….. Bintan is really beyond my expectations and it is really very much cleaner that Batam, thought the price in Bintan is much higher than Batam….. We stayed at a Villa and trust me, all of us were very much surprise when we 1st saw it…. It’s really big with 4 bedrooms, big living rooms, personal pool and personal BBQ pit…..The villa is very clean and buggy car was provided as well…. It is indeed a nice place to hangout for a short holiday and thanks to James who worked in a travel agency, the price quoated to us was way much reasonable compared to the usual price.....

So, the 7 of us, stayed at this beautiful resort, Bintan Lagoon Resort for 2 days 1 night….. We arrived at the resort at about 12 plus but was only allowed to check in at 3pm….so therefore, we spend our afternoon at the beach, had our little picnic and also hangout at the hotel lobby till its 3pm…… the sand at the beach was very soft and the sea water was pretty clear…. We managed to have a nicer beach view the next day thou it was super hot……

After checking in and explored the villa, we then drive over to the beach with our little buggy car for the banana (aka pencil) boat ride…. The “pencil” ride only allows 5 ppl, hence ern and james did not go on for the ride….. The “pencil” ride was indeed a fun and thrill ride…. The girls shouted so much as it is indeed pretty scary when we all actually lose balance and being throw into the deep blue sea…. We find it pretty tiring too when we try to climb up to the “pencil” from the deep blue sea….so much so that all of us actually wanted to stop the ride, after failing to balance ourself for the 3rd time……

We did have a short swim at our private pool after the “pencil” ride…. We discussed and concluded that we will be having BBQ at our private villa….. Overall it’s a pretty good experience and we do not need to clean it after dinnering…. Thanks to Dalson and James who did all the barbequeing for the ladies….. The food was pretty normal but the company around makes it fun….. We chilled out the whole night chatting and watching ghost movie after the BBQ dinner….

Next day, we had our breakfast and head off to the beach again…as I did mention, the beach was so beautiful, both me and winnie can’t resist but went down to the sea to take more pictures…. James also did check out the sea water. As for Ern, Nee, Dalson and Ms Lek, they prefer to hangout at the little hut because of the strong sun…… After the beach session and chilling out at the leisure centre, it was time for us to bid goodbye to the resort…..we went to Pasar Oleh Oleh in town to have our lunch and walk around….before heading back to Singapore...

It was indeed a memorable moment, hanging out and having fun….. Thou the trip was short but it is indeed a fruitful one….. I’ll miss the company, the place and Vui Nee too…. Hope to see you very soon, Vui Nee…..

for everyone
This blog is overdue like for 2 weeks already….. But then, the pictures we took are all so nice, I just can’t resist to upload up here in Multiply…..Guess many of the pictures i uploaded nowadays are just at Multiply but not in Friendster or Facebook….. Dun hv that kinda mood to upload in it  …call me lazy but damn….i just feel like watching my hk drama every time whenever there’s time for me to rest and chill out at home….. Haha….

Well, 2 weeks ago…. I went up to KL with Ern and Ms Lek…..this idea came out by both me and Ern…thinking of taking a flight together up to KL just for a gateaway from Singapore during the weekends as well as to celebrate Shinzz’s belated bday….. Ms Lek came to know that we are planning this so she then joined us as well…..

This trip is indeed a good meet up weekend…..Meet up with Shinzz, Cryst on Saturday and my piggy max on Sunday….. We chat, we shop, we spend time together….. it was like a mini gathering and it makes me missed those secondary and KDU sch days….. those were the days we were all so innocence and fresh….. Pillow talk with shinzz was also one of the best moment….chatted those stupid things we did during our time in house 67….. We laughed so much eventually we even forgot to sleep that night…:P

The Saturday chill out bangsar day was pretty fun…..Was amazed with how Bangsar is now….with all the little butik scattered around, I actually did have fun looking at the design of the butik and searching for nice blouses or dresses….. We 4 just love squeezing together in 1 changing room and commenting on the dresses we tried….. Was cool and im definitely planning to come bck for more shopping 

I also managed to spend some time with Max….eventhought it was very short period with her, but it was definitely one of the best time chatting with her as well….. I do hope soon, I’ll be able to crush at her house and see her baking the cheese cake for me as promise…hehe….. She can make real good cakes and im pretty excited to taste it….:)

Overall, my trip to KL is short but sweet….. love it to da max and as what Arnold Schwarzenegger said, I’ll be back….:)

* frenz...finally finally Amit passes me his pictures.... Have uploaded it....check them out :) *

Its time for me to post up some of the beautiful pictures I took in Bali before I lose the mood to blog…. Yes, like what I did mentioned in my previous blog, Bali is a superb island to visit and it is highly recommend to all of those who are planning for a nice trip….. I don’t really find the beach that super (mayb bcos those beaches I have been are much commercialized and pack with people) but definitely thumbs up for the cultural and friendly people around.

I am not able to get some other photos taken by my colleague as he is so damn busy, I hardly see him at work…..Well, guess Front Office Managers are usually very busy and I’ve decided not to remind him too much. I’ll go ahead with the picture posting of those remaining pictures that I took from my camera and shall not disturb him for the meantime. Sad to say, quite a number of interesting pictures is in his camera and therefore I can only put words to explain but won’t be able to show you those pictures…….

We stayed at Bali for 3 days and 2 nights….. 1st day is free and easy, so both me and my colleague, Amit rented a bike and drove around town to explore Kuta town…… We went for shopping and to the beach, walking around and gosh, I tell you….Amit is the 1st guy I’ve ever seen that can actually shop like crazy…. Whatever stuff that he saw and like, he will just buy it without even thinking….. He can bargain very well and oh my, he is as good as those aunties bargaining at the supermarket……Don’t play play man….wtf…. We also drove around and try different kind of Bali food at those road stalls (don’t ask me if its clean cos I dun want to remind myself of that)…. Its really delicious and interesting to try different kinds of delicacies….. On that night itself, we hangout at one of the happening Bar with Ayu (my ex trainee)…… Drank a lot cos Amit ordered glasses by glasses thinking that im a good drinker…..Was feeling damn dizzy after the 3rd glass, I eventually went bck to the hotel and sleep before 12am……

We basically interview the students on Day 2 and 3…… I managed to meet up with my ex trainees, Ayu and Cahya after the interview…… We went to the famous temple which is very unique cos is surrounded with sea water…… Too bad by the time we reached there, it was already pitched dark….. It took us 1 hour journey there and hack, we did not managed to see a single thing….too bad…. However, to ease off our disappointment, Ayu brought us to the Bali famous seafood restaurant by the beach which you get to enjoy good food, the sound of the sea, the sea breeze, the smell of the sea, the soft sand, etc…… The atmosphere was awesome with boy band singing songs while we are all eating…..it was my 1st experience to dine at the beach and yes, it is indeed a memorable one too….

Although I did not get to do much this trip again…. But I do enjoy spending my limited time with Ayu and Cahya….. Do hope I’ll get to go back to Bali once again bcos im missing Bali already and the people…….

Im bck, im bck….back from Bali…the ever so wonderful place…. L.O.V.E that place much and eventhought I went there twice, I still would love to go back for the 3rd, 4th or even the 5th time….I feel in love with Bali, just like how I was having this secret love affair with Vietnam…. Any place that is unique and rich in its cultural, I’ll sure to fall in love… :P Well, guess I’ll blog about Bali later on cos most of the pictures are still with my colleague, another cam-whore freak…..

Guess whos in town during the weekends? It was my very good friends down to Singapore to visit me…. Gosh, I missed them so much, esp Gloria….. Have not seen them after I came back from Switzerland….. Edwyn put on weight whereas Gloria lost weight….. Guess Edwyn is bullying my beautiful Gloria….haha…..

This time round, it was a very short trip…… they came only for 2 days and 1 night….. brought them to night safari, sentosa and vivo city…… 2 of them with also Vivian (Gloria’s secondary sch mate) took Air Asia to Singapore….. I was on half day on Friday but at the end of the day, I only managed to finish work at 5pm….felt so bad as they were waiting for me at Lau Pa Sat for few hours…..

We did not go to many places as Gloria was sick…..We only went to the Night Safari on Friday night as well as Sentosa and Vivocity on Saturday….. We did not do much in Sentosa, went only the underwater world, a few indoor activities……. Missed the Dolphin show cos it was raining so heavily…. Eventually I got wet when trying to fetch Edwyn over to the bus station with my umbrella…..that damnit guy try to save his shoes from getting wet….. me ended up getting wet and cold half of the day…*wtf*….

Took some pictures but I guess I’ll post up only a few.....

Before posting the pictures we took in Singapore, let me show you these pictures when we were in Switzerland, gosh…how much we had changed: P

During our 4th month in IMI, Swiss

With Gloria the last month in IMI, Swiss.... time flies isn't it?

Gosh, I just missed those days…J Anyway, coming bck to Singapore….. Pictures of only us and not the scenery nor animals that we took….. jus plain lazy…..sorry ar….

On Friday night at Night Safari

The cute couple which i missed....

Me and Gloria....:)

A group pic with Vivian with us while waiting for the night safari show to start..

The next day at Sentosa, only pictures at Underwater World as it was raining so heavily, no mood to snap snap....

Taking Cable car over to Sentosa...

Attempt to touch the fishes....

Some pictures at Underwater world...

Years of friendship…. Glad that I’ll be able to meet them…. It’ll be so nice if Shin, Eba and Phoebe join us too…… Hopefully someday, all of us will meet up together again…hangout jus like how we hangout in swiss…..Do wish I’ll get to see both Gloria and Edwyn again end of this year for their wedding dinner…. Keep our finger cross but hopefully i'll be able to see some friends that we used to hangout in Swiss during their wedding dinner as well.....

We have the birthday celebrations continuously for both January baby Bora and February baby Ern…. Bora’s bday celebration was just before Chinese New Year which we tot of having it together with our pre reunion CNY dinner….. The dinner was suggested by Dalson cause all of us missed his Bak Kut Teh muchie… Mr Dai lou is really a good cook and was told that Vui Nee misses his cookig too…. Both Ern and Dalson are potential taukeh for own business restaurant as they can cook pretty well… (Im missing Ern’s bringal and herbal chicken and Dalson’s bak kut teh again…)

So the reunion dinner and bday celebration was on a Tuesday night when Dalson was off….. Thanks to Dalson who did the shopping, cooking and planning…. He even bought “yu sheng” just for the CNY gesture…..So, the 7 of us (Bora, Ern, Dalson, Winnie, Lek, Vic and me) had the dinner at Ern’s house after work. I was not feeling that well but nevertheless I still enjoyed the food and the companies….

There you go some pictures that speak about the dinner

“Fat ya Fat ya, cai yuan gun gun lai, huang jing mang tang..bla bla bla” , saying all the auspicious sentences while “Lao Hei-ing”…..

Enjoying our bak kut the session while chatting, joking….. Damn good can??

After the dinner, rest a while as we were all full…..then comes the highlight of the night…. Presenting Bora’s bday cake…..

Bora in shock was super touch, she actually cried… She didn’t know this as all of us tot of giving her a surprise….

With the cake….Make a wish , blowing and cutting the cake…..

Bora with chef of the night….

Sis Ern helping to distribute the cake…it was our 1st time having green tea cake from bread talk….honestly, I dun feel the cake is nice…L bought the wrong cake...

A group picture of the tired us, before we call off a day…. Glad that Bora loves her new pink I shuffle prezzie…..

Next, was Ern’s bday celebration… Initially we wanted to have the celebration at Jumbo Seafood Restaurant….but after calling the restaurant, was told that the restaurant was fully booked…well, it’s pretty normal as it was still CNY period…. Therefore, after a few discussions on the venue, Brenda suggested that we can dine in at the hotel’s restaurant that she is currently working. It was a beautiful restaurant called Mezza 9 at Hyatt Hotel which serves all sort of cuisine, ranging from Western, Japanese to Chinese food. Thanks to Brenda, we get to not only have 50% discount but also the special arrangement on the bday cake…..

So, there we are, the 6 of us celebrating Ern’s be-earlier bday on Thursday night…. I was late that night so I missed the delicious starter that they ordered….. Was damn pissed off that night cause when me and my colleague was almost leaving, the owner of the hotel wanted some report which is a must for us to pass it up the next morning….. Again, unpredictable workload and orders which is so very common in my hotel…. -____-‘’

Bday girl with her beautiful smile….

Menu with many choices…..

The starters that they order when they were waiting for me….

As for the Main courses….. We ordered so much cos Me and Lek was damn hungry that day….As if we hv not been eating for the whole day…. Nevertheless all the food that we ordered was really good….yummy…..esp the salmon and mashed potato….:P

Smoked Salmon...

Grilled Tuna...

Big platter with Lamb Shank, Chicken and Beef..

Yakitori.... yum...

Me and Lek's fav....our tabasbo lover...

Tell u, those artistic and nice pictures above are all taken by lek and dalson….both of them r really good…can consider changing job d…haha…..

Some other pictures of us makaning…..

Check out ms lek, looking hungry….:P

4 of us without Brenda cos she was having a meeting with her client…..

Lovey dovey….

Brenda came after dinner to join us for the bday celebration….. Whole group of the waiter and waitress singing bday songs for Ern while bringing out the bday cake…. According to Brenda, we can actually choose any bday songs offered by the restaurant and the team will sing it for you….damn cool right?

Fyi, Ern was so shocked and “paiseh” that night…..cos many other guests was looking at her when the team sang the bday song…haha….

Ern’s green tea cake…… We ordered green tea flavour again….hehe…  It’s really nice and not so sweet, as in compared to the bread talk cake that we bought for Bora's bday...

Ern with Dalson….*sweet*

The girls….. Brenda joined in…..

We all enjoyed the dinner very much….. we were all so full……. Next bday celebration will be Lek and Dalson….. Gonna put on weight again…..:P

Welcome year 2009, the year of cow…. Well, 2009 is actually not a good year to start with cos of the bad economy right now and in additional of that, I got sick for almost 2 weeks, just before CNY. Thank God I got better before going back to Kluang, if not, I could have missed all the good food that mum and ah ma cooked…..

As usual, we had our reunion lunch with both my uncles’ family…… The food cooked by both mum and ah ma is simply delicious..... All of us enjoyed the food and the crowd very much…. CNY is always a good time for gathering and fellowship….. Thou this year, the CNY atmosphere is not as good as the past few years, but was glad that im able to meet some of my secondary as well as primary sch mates…. Thanks to Maxine for organizing the secondary sch gathering and mey ling for the primary sch ones….. It was indeed a good time for us to mingle among each other and also pretty shocked to see how much my primary sch mates have changed….. Couldn’t recognize most of them and same goes to them esp the boys…. None of the boys actually recognized who am i…. haha, which is a good news….  Cos I was very very fat and ugly during sch days….

Well, 8 days of my CNY leave have passed so fast…..good times always pass extremely fast…. Back to Singapore and going to work tomorrow…. To friends that I’ve meet during CNY, hope to see you all again soon…… and to all my dearly friends, happy “niu” year and I wish all of you good health, prosperity and also having a stable career ahead…… MOOOoooooo

Cousin Eunice’s wedding was held on 29 Dec 2008, a beautiful Sunday. Eunice is the closest cousin among the rest of my cousins…. She is the same age as me and we will always hangout together at each other house since we were little kids. We do share our ups and downs, we love shopping and of cos we exchange dresses and clothes to wear whenever we are bored with what we have….

Eunice will always be very dearly to me and even thought I still find it hard to believe she have married but I really do hope she will lead a happy marriage life….. Eunice and kuti (his nickname that I always called him cos I dun really remember what is his real name) has been together for 6 years and decided to settle down to have their own family….. She is the first among all cousins to get married so therefore all of us felt very excited especially my ah ma….. Ah Ma was so happy for Eunice, she even cried during Eunice big day….. Ah ma is now 78 years old and we are love her very much….. It is good that she gets to see her grandchild getting married and hopefully in years to come, she will be able to carry her great grand child……

This is also my 1st time being asked to be Eunice “jie mei”….. Being pretty new and green with the rules and regulations, as well as the procedures, I did nothing much but asking here and there what can I help out….. it is pretty fun and now I get a clearer picture whats a role of a “jie mei”…guess in years to come, whenever there’s friends or cousins asking me to help out being a “jie mei”…I will know what to do and how to react when the bridegroom arrived at bride house…..

It was funny and we have lotsa fun….. Eunice was very pretty on her wedding day…. I truly wish both Cousin Eunice and Kuti all the best in their newly marriage life…… :)

A trip which have been discussed among us for a very long time….we have been thinking of a trip to gateway from the busy city and also a trip strictly for only GIRLSS…..Sis Ern suggested that it would be nice to either spend our short weekend at Bintan or Batam….Initially, we wanted to go for Bintan during the Hari Raya Haji weekend but it was all fully booked….sis ern did her online research and we even went to the extend to several travel agencies but it was not our destiny to go to Bintan…. Therefore, we found alternative that Batam could be another option for us to relax and rejuvenate since there’s this particular travel agency guy that inform us that there should be still bookings for several hotels in Batam. Ern got good comments from colleague that Batam View Resort is good…therefore we opt for this particular resort for a 2 days 1 night trip……

The resort was nice and the beach was not that bad after all…we have fun doing picnic at the beach…we brought our own food whereby me and lek was in charged of doing sandwiches, ern and Vanessa in charged of salad and drinks and lastly bora to buy snacks….. Even thought our lunch was simple but we really love the egg and crabstick mayo sandwiches as well as the salad mixed with Ern’s special Japanese peanut sauce….. After the lunch, we head off to the beach and swimming pool to swim…..

Dinner at the hotel was delicious….we had off to the kelong Seafood restaurant and did enjoy our self with the items that was served….. However the Indonesian Massage was not really my cup of tea…. They really use up all their energy and massage you til the max…. it was so painful that I actually had some red scar behind my back….. was something really different that I encounter and I guess I won’t be going for more Indonesian massage next time….still prefer the thai massage…..

It was indeed an enjoyable trip eventhought its short ….I simply just enjoy my short weekend with my bunch of girlfriends..... bitch around, snaping and enjoying every bit of the moment together after those hard work moment at work..... Its worth it..:)

Been feeling quite bored with ma black hair and was doing some thinking of making myself look lively with some really cool hair colors…..

Been wanting to change my hair color since the longest time but I wasn’t brave enuf to dye it as it is quite likely impossible for a HR personnel to sort of set a bad example for the other colleagues to see since the hotel is pretty strict with its grooming standards…..

However….. I still go against the rules and regulations by changing my hair color during my visit to KL….. Had my hair dyed when I was accompanying Jenny to do her hair treatment…..it seems like she had some discounts for both hair color and treatment which persuaded me to fulfill my needs and wants to really get my hair dyed….. I, therefore went ahead with “the cooper color” which I kinda find it nice the minute I saw one of the hairdressers walking towards me…….

So there I am spending roughly 2 hours for both hair dye and hair treatment….. The results turn out to be nice and I like it very much….. The color seems to be a little too obvious esp for my hotel’s grooming standard….Hence, all I can do during times when im force to meet the “big” heads in my hotel is to have my hair sprayed in black….haha….i know is kinda stupid but this is the only solution I tot of to maintain my hair color…..

So presenting ma new hair color…..

Before….

Virgin black hair i have.....

After…..

Okok...dun misunderstood....the I phone is not mine but Ern's okai...hehe

Any difference with my new look? Hope no comments stating that im too “lala”……

Throughout my 2 years working in MOSIN, there were many activities held just to keep our colleagues entertained and most importantly is to convey the message to them that not only should we worked hard but we should play hard as well….. My boss have been emphasizing on the welfare part so that colleagues not only gets good food, good facilities provided by the hotel and also to be happy to work in MOSIN. From organizing, events like D&D, Smile campaign, MOSIN touch, LQE launch to having games like MOSIN cup challenge, Bowling, SHA Athletic….. We did have lotsa fun even though at times I would hv to admit that we still lack of support from some of the colleagues due to work. People down here worked very hard in order to look for business….. Nevertheless, Mark did not give up and had recently organized a cooking class for colleagues who are interested to learn how to cook different kinds of cuisine. Well, honestly speaking, I am always interested in cooking but yet I dun really have such initiatives to neither learn nor experiment cooking by looking at recipes books.  Hence, since MOSIN is having its very own cooking class, I registered myself and the 1st cooking class is about learning how to do certain Thai dishes.

The cooking class was held last Wednesday after work, taught by Chef Noi , a thai chef from Melt Café. She had decided to teach us on how to cook Tomyam Seafood Fusilli and Lemongrass Salad. I used to learn how to make Tomyam soup from my ex housemates (shin and Winnie) and therefore I am quite familiar with what type of ingredients to put. The only difference in this class is that I learned how to make the soup originally without using any tomyam paste which was ready made. The soup turned out to taste pretty nice but it looked like a clear tomyam soup as in compared to what I used to make that looks red in color.

The highlight of the day is the Lemongrass Salad. It seems pretty easy to do and prepare except for one of the ingredients which is the coconut.  The meat of the coconut needs to be shredded and fried without oil till crispy. It is one of the best salad which have a pretty refreshing taste, that makes you think of consuming it again and again. The recipe is as below:

Lemongrass Salad for 1 person

1/2 stalks lemongrass, finely chopped

1 spring onions, sliced

3 tbsp of fried coconut meat (fried the sliced coconut meat without oil on a pan)

½ cup of fried cashew nut (get those readymade at supermarket)

1 slice of cuttlefish (get those readymade at supermarket)

2 tbsp of fried dry prawn

1 shallots, sliced

2 small red chilies, seeded and sliced

2 tbsp of fish sauce

3 tbsp lime juice

1 tbsp sugar

Few pieces of iceberg lettuce

Place Lemongrass, spring onion, shallots, fried coconut meat, cashew nuts, cuttlefish, fried dry prawn, red chillies mixture into a bowl and toss to combine. Combine the lime juice, sugar and fish sauce and pour over the salad. Make sure the mixtures are wrapped in the iceberg lettuce before enjoying it!! J

It was indeed a fun class and i did learn quite a lot in it...... Below are some pictures to discribe how the class is.....

Spotted me learning??

We were given hands on to experience how to cook.....

That's ma boss in light purple blouse toasting the salad.....

 Yummy Lemongrass Salad..

Not only we get to learn... we also managed to eat and enjoy the food that we cooked as well.... I wonder what's for next cooking class???

Dear diary,

Was looking tru Vi's facebook then i saw her posted up some of her old photos when she was in Swiss.... I dunno what's wrong with me, but suddenly my heart felt sour, heart- ache and a little sad when i sat down quietly in my room thinking of my days in Swiss.... Gosh, a country which i missed it so much eventhought i had leave Swiss for almost 3 years.... beautiful scenery, beautiful people, peaceful serounding, nice weather, travelling, fun and laughter will only remain in my heart forever.... Hopefully someday, i'll get to visit this wonderful land......

Right Shin? Lek? We should arrange some day ....... one day........

Yours Sincerely,

Esther feeling Emo

Had a "beearlier" bday celebration with both Ern n Lek.... The reason why we had it early cos Ern will be going for a business trip on my bday.... Both girls tried to create a white lie telling me that only Ern will be able to celebrate with me and not Ms Lek..... So both me and Ern planned to sing K and doing buffet throughout that night..... While we were getting food at the buffet counter, Ms Lek sneaked into the Karaoke room planning to give me a surprise......

Well, althought i had oredi knew and suspect that Ms Lek will be coming over to celebrate my bday...but im still kinda touch by both of the girls making an effort to spend the night with me...... Both even when to the extra mile to think of creative ideas to disturb me.... Thanks to Lek who wraped so many presents and having the time to wrap it so nicely.... She prepared 3 presents and only the 3rd present is my real present.... the 1st two were to disturb me....haha....it was real fun opening each present....

After the karaoke session, we then head off to chimes and settle at one of the pub for drinking sessions.... hang out for quite a while, enjoying the music before heading home.....

Big thanks to both of my friends.....thanks for the effort and the pressie....love it much...... :)

Better get the blog starting before I lost the “fire” to blog…..Did some activities organized by the hotel and it was 2 months back…. tot of jus sharing and notify  my friends who are far away from me that im still alive but yet bz with work…..

We had the Singapore Hotel Association Inter- Hotel Athletic Meet (SHA) which were held end of August….It was a heat in the hotel driving Mark crazly looking for colleagues who are interested to make the hotel proud….. Looking for best of the best to run, to throw, to walk or to jump for this event….. Every year, all hotels will gather on this very day to challenge and win as much event as they can….. For many years, Conrad Hotel is always the Champion out of the many hotels in Singapore and they even have their own coach to guide and train their people….. I guess by getting a coach for our hotel might take years cause our people are more into work rather than having such events….

Nevertheless Mark managed to get a rough sum of 15 people including back ups….. but then again we expected the unexpected that some of the colleagues did not turn up on that very day….. Left a few responsible people who are willing to stay up the whole day waiting for their event to start…..Kevin is one of the runner chosen by Mark, suggested by me….:P Kevin is famous among the some of us because he had did well during our inter department football tournament this year….He had been chosen by us to represent SHA and now the inter hotel football tournament which will be held end of this year…..

So fellow readers, few pictures to show this happening day……

Sunny day with our flag and name ....

Our professional photographer, Uncle Patrick...

Me and Mark, event Managers discussing with the athletic....

With some of the runners...

With Ivy and Cindy from Materials Management...

Kevin, the handsome one feeling nervous, waiting for his event...

Kev warming up...

Go Go Go...

Kev and Azinah, hving fun after the event....

The group...

What we had won.... One gold, one sliver...:)

Other then taking part in the sports activity…..HR organized a career road show which were held during mid of September during the weekend…..Luckily the career road show happened very very near my home in Ang Mo Kio itself, giving me the excuses to sleep a little longer before getting ready for the day…..

The road show attracted a lot of local aunties and uncles looking for a part time and full time job…..Thank God our hotel were looking for candidates who are willing to work in Housekeeping Department and not departments like Front Office or Lobby Lounge….if not damn cham….. Well, what can i say, Ang Mo Kio is a very big area whereby most of the population are mid and older range people….. Me and Lek did counted that approximately every month, there surely a funeral happening at our neighbouring housing blocks or funerals below our block…..It might sounded extreme but its true…..

Career Roadshow...Crowd was just ok.....

Dennis from Room Service, Elisa my partner in crime, Margaret from Housekeeping and Suresh from Concierge...

Me and Sa poh, Elisa....

Something stupid i did towards end of the day....:P

We had fun during the 2 days and had learn something from it…..Learn to be able to interview, to observe people in a detail manner, to speak properly not trying to hurt the other party….bla bla bla.....

F1 had also come to an end….. For more information, please do take a look at http://sheauwenlek.multiply.com/ . This girl is a F1 freak and she had been keeping track on this event so often.  Whereas for me, I jus felt alright and a little sien with the event cos MRT, Bus and even the walk way to the hotel were pack with people throughout the whole 2 weeks……I only felt a little excitement when I 1st heard the sport car’s engine….it was so freaking loud till can die…..

The event was held during the weekends but all colleagues had not gone for a rest including finance, HR, Sales and other administrators….. All of the colleagues volunteered themselves to help Banquet, outlets, Concierge…….. Our HR team were assigned to help at Dolce Vita as well as Room Service…..It was fun observing how our colleagues work and how the department worked….. It has been so long since I last work in the outlets and being able to given a chance to serve guests….. it was indeed a great experience…

Busy months with some busy events….Its tiring but we all did enjoyed ourself….looking forward to help during the Morgan Stanley Event…J

CDEC, Exec Office, Finance and MIS had team building last saturday at East Coast.....We rented 2 chalets which are side by side for those who are planning to stay over night.....

Last 2 days we didn't managed to take much pictures.......walk a lot and soooo many people at the streets which just make me lost my mood to take pictures esp when we were back in HK shopping at Ladies Street......

Spend half of day 4 at Macau walking around b4 heading off the ferry terminal and catch a jet back to HK. We then checked into Sheraton and headed off to Ladies Street and do lots of shopping......Vic enjoyed himself when he saw the streets where they sell sports goods..... walk and walk and headed back to the hotel during night time......

Had buffet at the hotel bcos Vic got 50% discount entitlement for dine in restaurants....... it was raining cats and dogs the last night..... we then headed off to the airport early next morning to catch out 11.10am flight.....

Day 3, we had Dim Sum for breakfast at a famous restaurant called the Serenade Chinese Restaurant before heading over to the Ferry Terminal to catch a jet over to Macau.....It is very convinient cos the jet comes every half an hour......It took jus 1 hour and 45 minutes to reach this island......

We were picked by staff from MO Macau and it was a free ride to the hotel......The outter part of the hotel look quite alike as the MO in Singapore and i didn't know that MO Macau has its own Casino as well.....The hotel looked rather old esp the room..... It looked like the 90s kind of design and i do feel the errie feeling when i stayed in the room......moreover the service is good and what can i expect more for a complementary night given....

We went to the central of the town and headed off to Senado Square
, St. Dominic's Church,Jesuit College of St. Paul's and Mount Fortress. All these are the famous places left by the Portuguese. It was pretty interesting and the places are all pack with people...

After spending the whole afternoon there, we then headed over to Venetian to explore this beautiful and magnificant hotel......we managed to take a free shuttle bus from Sands (which is beside our hotel)......Venetian is very big consist of hotel rooms, shops, casinos and restaurants.....it's really cool and it reminds me of my trip with shin at Venice.......

Day 2, we checked out from MO and walked around Hong Kong Island before checking into Sheraton. We went to the Mid Level Escalator and walk up to take a look......It was pretty interesting and it was the longest escalator in Hong Kong....we managed to see a lot of things along the way from different types of restaurants to shops selling antique.......

We shop around and after noon, we took the MTR to Sheraton Hotel which is located in another island at Kowloon.......After checking in, we walked along Nathan road....from Tsim Sha Tsui station to Mong Kok Station which is quite far.....Along Nathan Road, we managed to see lotsa shops....and typical restaurants selling their delicacies...... it is pretty fun exploring and almost getting lost...... all building are so close to each other makes it very hot and humid.....

Later in the evening, we then head off the "avenue of stars" , a famous tourist area...... The view of Hong Kong is really beautiful especially during night time..... we stay on managed to see the "symphony of lights"........It was amazing and indeed was something new for me.....

for everyone
It was a sudden and quick plan with Victor as it was some time since we last go for a trip together.....I had suggested and chosen Hong Kong and Macau as our holiday destination......It was a 5 days 4 nights trip, a short but exciting trip.

We are considered lucky because we had managed to get discounted hotel stay in Mandarin Oriental HK and Sheraton HK and also complementary one night in Mandarin Oriental Macau. I would have to admit MO HK is really extremely good and even thought i had gotten good discounted rates for this particular hotel, yet we were upgraded to deluxe room and the room in MO is really good. The service is exceptional and the staff in MO are all very warm and friendly. Guess this is an advantage for hoteliers because of the discounted or complementary privilege given by the management. It was indeed a good experience for us to stay in this luxurious hotel.

Hong Kong is considered as a shopping paradise and girls would definetly love going shopping esp for clothes, bags and accessories.......I would have to admit they have very beautiful night view of the buildings especially when you see the lights moving during the "Symphony of Light'' which happened everyday at 8pm. Hong Kong is considered as a busy city which never "sleeps" and i was surprise the shops are all still open even at 11.30pm.

My overall experience in Hong Kong can considered as alright cos it wasn't what i had expected as in compared to what i had imagined....... The street of Hong Kong seems quite different to me as in compared to those drama shows i had saw....... It is a very hectic and humid city which is full and pack with people..... I used to always tot Singapore is pack with people but HK is defiantly even pack and full of people.......

The MTR (Train) reminds me of the Italy train station...... Transportation in HK is quite advance and it is quite easy to excess to different places with good road signs as well...... The only difficulties i met was language as many of the Honkies can only speak Cantonese and little english/ Mandarin. Lucky vic understands Cantonese and know how to speak a little......

Walk a lot during these 5 days..... seems like im getting old.....leg muss les was very pain...... good exercise......:P
